If you can get hughes net service at your home can you get reception from direct tv?

just placed an order for direct tv and hughes net satelite internet ..i live in a rural area but hughes net tech was able to connect my satelite internet.direct tv tech on the other hand was aparently unable to get a line of site to install..im very upset ,i believe they just didnt want to instal .i called the supervisor with no results ,just lies..so if anyone knows how i can get some kind of tv ..please help.:)
