What the normal size for liver?and what is the normal result for liver in US?

according to US result for my father 52 years old that he has normall kidnys g blader normal,but on report the dr wrote something abut liver like( bright )and 18 cm,i dont know what the dr mean?i think 18 cm the size of liver,is it normal and what's mean?
