What’s the point of David Cameron meeting Angela Merkel today?

David Cameron is meeting Algela Merkel the German Chancellor today. What’s the point of this meeting as Cameron won’t understand what she’s talking about and hasn’t got the financial intellect to understand or answer her questions. Don’t you think that this is embarring for the UK and our standing in the world of international financial politics? At least when she could speak to Gordon Brown there was a frank two way exchange of highly complicated financial ideas. Shouldn’t Dave Smooth-Spin have brought George Osbourne along for the ride to give him a bit of work experience? He might learn something from the great woman.
