How to determine whether a bond is covalent or ionic using IR spectrophotometry?
In my inorganic chem cl, I was given a sheet of IR spectrums on different transition metals that are bonded to oxalates... how am I supposed to determine whether the metal is bonded ionically or covalently using just the IR specs.
