How long of a pendulum would you need to swing on a star?

It would need to be about 16.25 inches long which happens to be the length of pendulum required to complete 366 swings in the time taken for a star to traverse 1/366 part of the horizon. That is a megalithic yard. Appropriate plumb bobs for the pendulum would include a jar full of moonbeams which you can carry home with you afterwards.
